New here and haven't signed up yet? Start with get started with NoTrouble, then come back to this list.
Setup ends on the bio step with a Start designing button. Select it and we build your profile from what you entered — a name, a photo, and colors — then drop you straight into the Designer. Your profile starts as a private draft, not a live page. That's on purpose. This is the order to fill it in, start to finish, before you publish in Step 8.
Nervous about going public at all? You don't have to be. Your profile stays private until you publish in Step 8, and you can switch it back to private any time after. See is my profile live yet? if that's your worry.
Open the Designer from your dashboard (Step 1 shows how), then follow the list top to bottom. You'll have a real profile in about 15 minutes. Each step links to a full guide if you want more detail. You don't need them to get through this. Work the list in order.
Step 1: Open the Designer
Everything below happens in the Designer, the screen where you build your profile and change how it looks.
From your home dashboard, select Edit In Designer. (The main menu item called Profile opens the same screen.) The Designer loads with your profile on the right and a list of parts down the left side, called layers. A layer is one piece of your page that you select to edit. From the top, they are: Header, Cover (the wide banner image behind your header), Avatar (your profile photo), Bio, Links, then your sections below.
One thing to know up front: your edits here aren't live until you publish. You'll do that in the last step. Until then, build away.
Step 2: Add your first link
Most profiles lead with links, so start here. A link is one tappable button: a name plus a web address.
- In the left sidebar, select the Links layer.
- Under Links, select Add link.
- In the address field (it shows
https://example.comas a hint), type your web address, likehttps://yourshop.com. In the name field (it showsMy Website), type a short label, likeShop. - Add a few more the same way: your booking page, your latest post, your menu, whatever you want people to reach.
You can also add links in Settings, under Profile Links. It's the same set of links, so don't worry if you spot them in both places. The Designer is the handy spot while you work this list.
Want the full rundown, including reordering? See add links to your profile.
Step 3: Set your name, title, and bio
Now tell people who you are. Your name and photo came over from setup, so check them and add a bio.
- In the left sidebar, select the Bio layer.
- Check the Title field. This is the name shown at the top of your profile. Edit it if you like.
- In the Bio field, write a line or two about you or your business. Keep it short and plain.
- To swap your photo, select the Avatar layer and upload a new one. The Cover layer sets the wide image behind your header.
Your name and bio also live in Settings, in the Profile Information card. It's the same content either way, so seeing it in both spots is normal. The Designer is the spot we recommend while you fill in this list.
More on each: write your name, title, and bio and add and adjust your avatar and cover image.
Step 4: Add your social accounts
If you're on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or anywhere else, link them so people can follow you.
- In the left sidebar, select the Links layer (the same panel from Step 2).
- Scroll to the Social Media section and select Add social.
- Paste the address of your account (like
https://instagram.com/yourname). The icon picks itself from the address most of the time. If it misses, like with a custom domain, open the Platform Icon dropdown next to the address and choose the icon by hand. - Repeat for each account you want to show.
Your socials also live in Settings, in the Social accounts card. It's the same content, so don't worry if you see them in both places. The Designer is the spot we recommend for this list.
For the details, see add your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other socials. On Pro, you can also auto-show your latest posts with a Social Feed section.
Step 5: Add your first section
Links are quick buttons. A section is a block of richer content: a gallery, an article, a list of products, a contact form, and more. One section is enough to start.
- In the left sidebar, select Add section.
- Pick a type from the grid. They're grouped by what you want to do: Write something, Show your work, Get contacted, and Automatic.
- The section is added and its editor opens. Fill in the fields.
- For sections that hold a list, select the + on the section's row in the sidebar to add a post. An empty section shows No posts yet. until you do.
Not sure which type to pick or how to fill it? See add and arrange sections and add a post to a section. If you'd rather have us suggest a starter set of sections for your line of work, try guided setup.
Step 6: Make it look like you
Your colors and layout came from setup, but you can change anything. Among the controls at the top of the left sidebar, three set your look. On screen they sit in this order: Styles, then Theme, then Colors.
- Styles sets your fonts, corners, and the overall feel. See choose a style for your profile.
- Theme sets your layout, the shape of the whole page. See choose a layout for your profile.
- Colors sets your palette. We can pull colors straight from your photo or logo. See change your profile's colors.
Don't love a change? The Reset to defaults button at the bottom of the sidebar puts the look back. More on that in preview your design and reset to defaults.
Step 7: Check your work before you publish
Before you make anything public, look it over. You have two previews, and both work before you publish.
The big area on the right side of the Designer is a live preview. It updates as you type, so everything you added in Steps 2 to 6 is already there. Scroll through it. Read your bio. Check your links and sections.
For a truer look, select the Preview button in the top toolbar. It opens your profile in its own new tab, at full width the way a visitor will see it. Because you haven't published yet, a bar across the top reads "This is how your profile will look. It isn't published yet, so it's only visible to you." That's expected. This preview is yours alone, and search engines can't see it. Select Back to editor in that bar to return. More on both previews in view your live page.
Step 8: Publish your changes
When the preview looks right, make it live.
Select Publish profile in the top toolbar. (If your profile was already live from setup, the button says Publish changes instead.) Your edits go public right away. When the button reads Published with a checkmark, everything is live and saved.
Still not sure you want the world to see it? You can switch your profile back to private any time, and nothing you built gets deleted. See is my profile live yet? for how to flip it back and forth.
Now select Preview in the top toolbar again. Now that you've published, it opens without the not-yet-published bar — the same profile visitors get. To grab the public link you actually hand out, use Step 9. Switch back to the Designer tab to keep working.
For drafts, version history, and rolling back, see publish your profile and save drafts.
Step 9: Share your link
A live profile doesn't get visitors on its own. Hand out your link to get your first ones.
The fastest way to grab your link is Copy Link from your profile's action menu on your home dashboard. On your phone, tap your profile photo in the bottom bar to open the Share panel, which adds a QR code and one-tap Copy and Share buttons. Paste the link into a text, a chat, or your social bios.
The full how-to is share your profile. When you're ready to get found more widely, get found after you publish maps out search engines, your email signature, and more.
You're done!
That's the whole checklist. Work the list in order, publish at Step 8, and at Step 9 you have a real, shareable profile. You can stop here.
The two sections below are not steps. They're there only if something looks off. Skip them unless you hit one of these snags.
If something looks off: my profile already had a link or section I didn't add
If you built your profile by importing a website, we read your site and fill in real buttons and sections we find. Those are your own, not samples. Keep the ones you like, then edit or remove the rest.
- To change a link's address, select the Links layer, then edit the address and name fields on that row.
- To remove a link, select the Remove link button on its row.
- To remove a section, select the trash icon on the section's row in the sidebar, then confirm.
For more on this, see removing or changing a link you don't want. Then carry on with the steps above. Nothing is final until you publish.
If something looks off: I made a change and it's not showing on my profile
This is the most common surprise. Edits in the Designer are saved as you work, held as a recoverable draft rather than pushed to your live profile, so they don't go public until you publish them.
Open the Designer and look at the top toolbar. If the button says Publish changes, you have edits waiting. Select it, and your change goes live. If it already says Published with a checkmark, your change is live, so try refreshing your profile in a new tab.
