Write your name, title, and bio

Updated June 8, 2026

The top of your profile introduces you: your name, a short title, and a bio that says who you are or what you do. Getting these right helps visitors know they're in the right place. It's no trouble.

Before you start

You need to own the profile you're editing. These details live on your profile's settings screen.

Writing your name, title, and bio

  1. Open your profile's settings. From your profiles list, open the profile, then choose the Settings tab.
  2. In Name, type your profile's display name. We use it to label your profile, and it shows as the heading if you leave Title blank.
  3. In Title, add the heading visitors see at the top of your profile, like "Wedding photographer" or "Indie game studio."
  4. In Bio, write your bio. This is the longer text that tells visitors about you. It's optional, so you can leave it blank for now.
  5. Choose Save changes at the bottom of the page.

You'll see a message that your settings were saved. Your new text shows at the top of your profile.

Where each one shows up

  • Title is your profile's main heading at the top of the page. If you leave Title blank, your Name is shown there instead.
  • Bio is the paragraph below the heading. Use it to share more about you or your work.
  • Name is your profile's display name. It's used as the heading when Title is empty, and it names your profile inside NoTrouble.

How long can my bio be?

Your bio can be up to 5,000 characters, which is plenty for a few paragraphs. Your name and title can each be up to 255 characters, so keep those short and punchy.

My settings won't save

The page won't save while a required field is empty. Check for these:

  • Name is blank. A name is required. Add one and try again.
  • Title is blank. A title is required. Add a short tagline and try again.

Fill in the highlighted field, then choose Save changes again.

My new bio isn't on my live profile

Your text shows once you've saved your changes and your profile is published. If you saved but visitors don't see the change, check that your profile is published. See publish your profile and save drafts.

Should I fill in both Name and Title?

It helps to fill in both. Your Title is what visitors see as the heading, so make it clear and specific. Your Name is used inside NoTrouble and stands in as the heading if you ever clear the Title. Keeping both set means your profile always reads well.
