Add a post to a section
Updated June 8, 2026
A section holds posts. A post is one item inside a section, like a single article, one product, or one event. Once you've got a section, adding posts is how you fill it with real content. It's no trouble.
Before you start
You need to own the profile, and you need a section to add the post to. If you don't have one yet, see add and arrange sections first.
Some section types fill themselves and don't take posts you add by hand. Reviews and Business Info pull in their own content, so they have no add-post button.
Adding a post
- Open your profile in the Designer. From your profiles list, find the profile and choose Edit In Designer.
- In the left panel, find the section you want to add to.
- On that section's row, select the plus button. This opens the new post form.
- Fill in the fields. The form matches the section type, so an Article asks for an article, a Product asks for product details, and so on.
- Choose Create to save the post. The button name includes the type, like Create Article.
After you save, you're taken to the post so you can keep editing or add another.
What the form asks for
The fields change with the section type. A required field must be filled in before you can save. Here are a few examples:
- An Article asks for an Article Title and Article Content. Both are required. You can also add an excerpt, a featured image, and an author name.
- A Product asks for a Product Name and a Regular Price. Both are required. You can add a description, image, brand, and a sale price.
- An Event asks for the event details, like a title and timing.
Whatever the type, fill in the required fields, then add the extras you want.
Showing a post right away, or saving it for later
At the bottom of the form there's a Publish immediately switch.
- Leave it on, and the post goes live as soon as you save (once the profile itself is published).
- Turn it off, and the post is saved but hidden from visitors. You can show it later.
Either way, your work is saved when you choose Create.
Nothing happens when I choose Create
The form won't save while a required field is empty or wrong. Look for a message under a field, like a title or price that's still blank. Fill in the highlighted fields, then choose Create again.
I got a message that my post limit is reached
Each plan allows a set number of posts. When you hit that number, you'll see a message like "Post limit reached." It names your plan, the limit, and how many posts you have.
To add more, remove a post you no longer need, or move to a plan with a higher limit. Your billing settings show the limits for each plan.
My post saved but doesn't show on my live profile
Two things keep a post hidden from visitors:
- Publish immediately was off when you saved. In the Designer, expand the section, find the post, and select the eye button on its row so the post is shown.
- The profile or the section isn't published yet. A post only shows when its profile and section are live too. See publish your profile and save drafts.
Can I change a post after I add it?
Yes. Open the section in the Designer, select the post, and edit any field. Your changes save when you confirm them.
