Add your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other socials
Updated June 9, 2026
Show visitors where to follow you by adding your social accounts. Each one appears as a small icon on your profile that opens your page on that site. It's no trouble.
Before you start
You need to own the profile you're editing. Social accounts live on your profile's settings screen, in the card titled Social accounts. They sit in their own card, separate from the Profile Links card.
Adding a social account
- Open your profile's settings. From your profiles list, open the profile, then choose the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the Social accounts card.
- Select Add. A new row appears with three boxes: Platform, Icon, and URL.
- In Platform, type the site's name, like "Instagram" or "TikTok". This is the label visitors see when they hover the icon.
- In Icon, type the icon name for that site, like
fa-instagram. The next sections list the name for each popular site. - In URL, paste the full web address of your page there, starting with
https://. - Choose Save changes at the bottom of the page.
You'll see a "Settings saved." message, and your icons show on your profile.
Add your Instagram
In the Social accounts card, select Add, then fill the new row:
- Platform:
Instagram - Icon:
fa-instagram - URL: your page's full address, like
https://instagram.com/yourname
Choose Save changes. An Instagram icon now appears on your profile.
Add your TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube
Each site uses its own icon name. Add a row for each one, then choose Save changes:
| Site | Type in Icon | URL looks like |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok | fa-tiktok |
https://tiktok.com/@yourname |
fa-facebook |
https://facebook.com/yourpage |
|
| YouTube | fa-youtube |
https://youtube.com/@yourchannel |
| X (Twitter) | fa-x-twitter |
https://x.com/yourname |
fa-linkedin |
https://linkedin.com/in/yourname |
For any other site, the icon name follows the same pattern: fa- plus the site's name, all
lowercase, like fa-pinterest or fa-threads.
Adding your social media icons
The icon is the small badge visitors tap to reach you. To control which icon shows, type its name
in the Icon box. Use the form fa- followed by the site's name, like fa-instagram or
fa-youtube. Type one name per row, then choose Save changes. The matching icon then shows on
your profile.
Removing a social account
In the Social accounts card, find the account's row and select the trash button next to it. Then choose Save changes so the change takes effect.
My social account won't save
A row saves only when both Platform and URL are filled in. The page also stops saving while a started row is filled in wrong. Check these:
- The platform name is missing. You'll see a note like "Social link #1 name is required." Type the site's name in Platform. The number tells you which row to fix.
- The web address is missing. You'll see a note like "Social link #1 URL is required." Add the address in URL.
- The web address isn't valid. You'll see a note like "Social link #1 URL must be valid." Use a
full address with
https://at the front, likehttps://instagram.com/yourname, with no spaces.
Fix the row it points to, then choose Save changes again. To clear a row you don't want, select the trash button next to it.
My social icons aren't showing
If a social account shows a blank space instead of an icon, the Icon box has a name the profile can't match. The icon box reads social brand icons, so a plain word or a made-up name shows nothing. To fix it:
- Open the row and set Icon to the brand name in the form
fa-plus the site, likefa-instagram,fa-tiktok,fa-facebook, orfa-youtube. The tables above list the common ones. - Don't leave Icon blank. A blank box has no icon to show, so the spot can look empty on your live profile.
- Choose Save changes, then open your profile to check.
If the icons still don't show for visitors, your profile may be a draft. Social accounts appear once you've saved and your profile is published. See publish your profile and save drafts.
Social accounts vs. links: which do I use?
Use whichever matches what you're sharing. They live in two separate cards on the same Settings page:
- Social accounts are your pages on sites like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. They show as a row of small icons, and each one needs an Icon name so the right badge appears.
- Profile Links are buttons with a name you choose, pointing anywhere: your shop, a booking page, or another site of yours. They show as full-width buttons with text, not icons.
Reach for Social accounts when you want the familiar logo of a social site. Reach for Profile Links when you want a labelled button, like "Book a call." To add those, see add links to your profile.
My account row stayed empty after I added it
Selecting Add drops in a blank row. It stays empty until you type into it. If you added a row by mistake, select the trash button next to it, then choose Save changes. Blank rows aren't saved, so an unfilled one won't show on your profile either way.
