Choose a style for your profile
Updated June 8, 2026
A style sets the whole mood of your profile in one move: the corners, the shadows, the fonts, the feel. We give you six to pick from, and the preview updates as you go. Nothing goes public until you publish, so try a few.
Before you start
Styles live in the Designer, the panel where you change how your profile looks. You need a profile already made. If you don't have one yet, read get started with NoTrouble first.
Opening the Designer
- Open your profile.
- Select Edit In Designer.
You'll land on the Designer. The left sidebar is headed Designer, and the live preview of your profile fills the rest of the screen.
Picking a style
- In the left sidebar, select Styles.
- The Styles panel opens on the Style tab.
- Select the box that shows the current style's name and description.
- A list of all six styles drops down. Select the one you want.
The preview repaints right away so you can see the change. Here's what each one is going for:
- Clean: plain and minimal, with no special effects. Your content takes centre stage.
- Modern: a contemporary, material feel with medium rounded corners and semi-bold text. Good for tech, startups, and creative work.
- Scattered: a photos-on-a-desk look with slightly tilted cards and warm shadows. Personal and inviting.
- Frosted: a glass look with big rounded corners, light text, and see-through surfaces. Elegant and soft.
- Bold: high contrast, thick borders, and large type. Loud and memorable for performers and statement brands.
- Dimension: layered shadows and surfaces for a rich, tactile depth. Suits premium and luxury brands.
Picking a style also sets matching corners, fonts, and text size for you. You can fine-tune any of those afterwards in the Fonts and Options tabs.
Turning effects up or down
Some styles add shadows, blur, or texture. To dial those in:
- On the Style tab, find the Effect intensity slider.
- Drag it. The number on the right shows the percentage, from 0% to 100%.
Lower it for a quieter look, raise it to make the effect pop. The preview follows the slider.
Adjusting a style's own settings
A few styles have extra knobs that appear under the slider once you pick them:
- Bold adds Shadow color, so you can choose Black/white or Color-matched.
- Frosted and Dimension add Light direction, which sets the angle the light comes from.
- Dimension also adds Diffusion, which softens or sharpens its shadows.
These only show for the style they belong to. Switch styles and they change with it.
Saving your new look
Your changes stay as a preview until you publish them.
- Select Publish profile (or Publish changes) in the top toolbar to make the new style live.
- Not ready? Open the toolbar's save menu and select Save as draft to keep your edits without going public.
I picked a style and my custom fonts changed
That's expected. Choosing a style applies that style's recommended corners, fonts, and text size so the whole look stays in tune. If you'd set fonts you liked, set them again on the Fonts tab after you pick the style. See change your fonts and text size.
The preview didn't change
Give it a second; the preview repaints after each pick. If it still looks stuck, your edits are safe. Use the Undo button (the back-arrow in the top toolbar) and try the style again. If the whole page seems frozen, refresh it. Unpublished edits you haven't saved as a draft may not carry over, so publish or save a draft once you're happy.
