Choose which emails, texts, and push alerts you get
Updated June 8, 2026
You decide what we send you and how it reaches you. On the Notifications page you can turn each topic on or off for email, SMS (text), and push. Add a phone for texts, or switch everything off at once. It's no trouble.
This page is for anyone signed in to a NoTrouble account. You don't need a paid plan.
Opening your notification settings
- Sign in to your account.
- Open your account's Notifications tab.
You'll see a grid. Each row is a topic, like Newsletter or Promotions. Each column is a way to reach you: Email, SMS, and Push. A switch sits where a topic and a channel meet.
Turning a topic on or off
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Find the row for the topic you want, like Promotions.
- Select the switch under Email, SMS, or Push.
Each switch saves on its own. When you flip one, a Changes saved note pops up. There's no separate save button for the grid.
Some boxes in the grid are empty. That's on purpose. A few topics are email-only: Newsletter, Community News, and Product Updates. They have no SMS or Push switch.
How do I stop getting emails from NoTrouble?
Open the Notifications tab and switch off the Email column for each topic you don't want. Each switch saves as you go.
To stop every email in one move, select Unsubscribe from all below the grid. That clears every switch in every column, including SMS and push.
How do I turn off SMS or text notifications?
Open the Notifications tab and switch off the SMS column for the topics you don't want.
Want to stop all texts for good? Scroll to the SMS Notifications section and select Remove next to your phone number. We'll ask you to confirm. Removing your number turns off every SMS topic at once.
You can also reply STOP to any text we send. Our text provider, Brevo, reads that reply and stops your messages.
How do I add a phone number for text alerts?
The SMS switches stay greyed out until you add a phone number. Here's how to add one:
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Find the SMS Notifications section below the grid.
- In the phone field, type your number with a + and your country code, like +14168063245.
- Tick the box that agrees to receive texts from NoTrouble.
- Select Save.
You'll see a Phone number saved note. Now the SMS switches turn on, and you can pick which topics send you texts.
My phone number won't save
If your number is the wrong shape, you'll see: "Enter a valid phone number with country code (e.g. +14168063245)."
The field needs a +, then your country code, then the rest of the number, with no spaces or dashes. For a US or Canada number, that's +1 and the ten digits, like +14168063245.
If you see "You must agree to receive SMS messages," tick the consent box below the field, then select Save again.
How do I turn on push notifications on my device?
Push sends alerts to the browser on the device you're using.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Find the Push Notifications section at the bottom.
- Select Enable push notifications.
- Your browser asks to show notifications. Select Allow.
When it works, a green Enabled badge appears. After that, switch on the Push column for the topics you want.
Push is set up per device. Turn it on again on each phone or computer where you want alerts.
I don't see the Enable push notifications button
A couple of things can hide it:
- "Push notifications are not supported in this browser." Your browser can't do web push. Try a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
- "Push notifications are blocked. Enable them in your browser settings to continue." You picked Block when the browser asked, so it won't ask again. Open your browser's site settings for NoTrouble, set notifications to Allow, then come back and select Enable push notifications.
To turn push off on the device you're using, find the Push Notifications section and select Disable on this device.
How do I unsubscribe from everything at once?
Open the Notifications tab and select Unsubscribe from all, below the grid.
We'll ask: "Unsubscribe from all notifications? This will revoke all your communication preferences." Confirm it, and every switch clears across email, SMS, and push. A note confirms you're unsubscribed.
This doesn't delete your phone number or your push device. You can switch any topic back on whenever you like.
Why can't I switch off Account or Security alerts?
You can. Account Alerts and Security Alerts are ordinary switches, so you can turn them off like any other row.
They cover things like sign-in warnings and important account notices. When you sign up, you can tick a box to get updates from us. If you tick it, these two topics start on for email. If you leave it unticked, every topic starts off, and you turn on the ones you want.
You're free to switch them off whenever. Most people keep them on so they don't miss a real problem with their account.
What's normal here
Your changes save the moment you flip a switch, so there's nothing else to press.
After you change your topics, we send a short confirmation email about five minutes later. It lists what changed. If you select Unsubscribe from all, that confirmation goes out right away instead. Getting that email is normal, not a sign anything went wrong.
When you add or remove a phone number, it can take a moment for our text provider to catch up on the back end. Your switches on the page are correct in the meantime.
