Apply a promo or offer code

Got a promo code or a special offer code? You add it at checkout, and your price drops before you pay. It's no trouble, and you'll see the discount in your order total right away.

Before you start

You need a valid code, and you need to be at checkout for a paid plan. Some codes only work for certain plans, billing periods, or countries. The screen tells you if a code can't be used.

Where to enter your code

You add your code on the Checkout screen, in the Order Summary on the right:

  1. Start an upgrade so you reach Checkout. See upgrade to a paid plan.
  2. In the Order Summary, select Have a promo code?.
  3. Type your code in the Enter code field.
  4. Select Apply.

When the code works, you'll see a green tag with your code and the words "Promo applied". Your Order Summary updates to show the discount and your new total.

Codes that apply on their own

Sometimes a code is already in for you. If you arrived from a special link, or there's a site-wide offer running, the discount may show without you typing anything. If you see a code you didn't enter, that's fine; it's the current offer.

Removing a code

Changed your mind, or want to try a different code?

  1. In the Order Summary, find the green tag with your applied code.
  2. Select the X next to it.

The discount comes off and your total goes back to the standard price. You can then add a different code.

"Please enter a promo code"

You selected Apply with the code box empty. Type your code in the Enter code field first, then select Apply.

"This promo code is invalid or has expired"

The code wasn't recognised, or its offer has ended. Check for these:

  • A typo. Codes can mix letters and numbers, so copy it exactly, with no extra spaces.
  • An expired offer. Some codes only run for a set time. If it's past, the code won't work.

If you're sure the code is right and current, contact our support team to check it.

"This code isn't available for your billing country"

Some offers only run in certain countries. Your billing country comes from your account and your billing address. If the code can't be used where you are, you'll see this message. Try a different code, or contact support to ask if there's an offer for your country.

My code worked but the price didn't change

A few offers don't take money off the line items. Instead, the code unlocks a special plan that's already priced as the deal. In that case you'll still see your code applied, and the plan's own price is the discount. So the total is already the offer price, even with no separate discount line.
