Already keep a Google Business Profile? You can link it to NoTrouble so your hours, address, reviews, and photos flow in on their own. Type them once on Google, and they show up on your profile here, with no second copy to keep up to date. This walks you through the connection and sets clear expectations about what the sync covers and where it stops.

Before you start

A few things to know up front, so nothing surprises you:

  • You need a Pro plan. My Business is a Pro feature, and so is connecting any outside account (Google included). On a free plan you won't be able to finish the steps below.
  • You need a Google Business Profile that's already set up and verified. This connection pulls from your existing Google listing. It does not create one. If you don't have a Google Business Profile yet, set one up at google.com/business first.
  • You need permission to edit this profile. If you own it or manage it, you're set.
  • This is rolling out gradually. The Google Business tab and its connect button appear once the feature reaches your account. If you're on Pro and the tab looks empty, the feature isn't live for you yet. Check back later.

You can still add your hours, address, and contact details by hand on every plan, with no Google account at all. See add your business hours, address, and contact details. Connecting Google saves you the typing if you already keep a listing.

Connect your Google Business Profile

This links your Google account, then points NoTrouble at the right business location.

  1. In the main menu, select My Business. The icon is a location pin. This opens your business dashboard.
  2. From there, open Business Settings. The tabs live here, not on the dashboard.
  3. Open the Google Business tab.
  4. Select Connect Google account. You'll go to Google's own sign-in screen.
  5. Sign in to the Google account that owns your business listing.
  6. On Google's permission screen, keep the Google Business Profile access selected and continue. This is what lets us read your listing's details and what people have said about you.
  7. You'll come back to NoTrouble. Open Business Settings again and return to the Google Business tab to finish linking.

The connect step sends you to Google and back. After it, you'll land back in the app, but not always on this exact tab, so step 7 brings you back to it.

Pick which business location to sync

Once your Google account is connected, you tell NoTrouble which listing to use.

  1. On the Google Business tab, you'll see Select the Google Business account and location to sync with this profile.
  2. Pick your business from the Account dropdown. Give it a second to load.
  3. Pick the right spot from the Location dropdown. If you run more than one location, choose the one this profile is for.
  4. Select Link location.

You'll see a toast that says Google Business Profile linked successfully, and the card switches to a green Connected badge with your account and location listed. Your first sync starts right then.

I don't see my business in the Account dropdown

You connected Google, the card says Select the Google Business account and location to sync with this profile, but the Account dropdown never shows up and Link location stays greyed out. Nothing here is broken. The card only fills the dropdowns with listings the Google account you signed in with actually owns or manages. If it finds none, it shows no options and no message, which leaves you stuck with nothing to pick.

Two things cause this:

  • You signed in with the wrong Google account. If your business listing lives under a different Google login, the one you used has nothing to offer. Open the Connections page under Tools, select Edit connection on the Google card, then Disconnect. Come back to the Google Business tab, select Connect Google account again, and this time sign in with the Google account that owns the listing.
  • Your listing isn't verified on Google yet. Google only shares a listing once you've verified it. An unverified or half-set-up listing won't appear here. Finish setting it up and verifying it at google.com/business, then reopen the Google Business tab.

While you're picking a location, you might hit a red message like Could not load Google Business accounts. Try again later., Could not load locations. Try again later., or Failed to link Google Business Profile. Try again later. This almost always means Google was briefly unreachable, not that anything's wrong on your end.

Give it a moment, then close and reopen the Google Business tab to try again. If it keeps failing, the Google sign-in itself may need a refresh. Open the Connections page under Tools, select Edit connection on the Google card, then Update to sign in with Google again. Return to the Google Business tab to finish picking your location.

What syncs from Google, and how often

Once you're linked, we pull these in for you:

  • Business info: your name, description, phone, address, website, hours, category, and map pin. This refreshes about every hour.
  • Reviews: your Google reviews, including the star rating and the reviewer's words. These refresh about every 15 minutes.
  • Photos: the photos on your Google listing get copied into your business photos.

Your hours and contact details land on the Profile tab in My Business, the same place you'd type them by hand. From there they show on your public profile, with a map and automatic Directions and Call buttons.

One thing worth knowing: Google becomes the source for these details. If a hand-typed value and your Google listing disagree, the synced value can replace what you typed. Keeping the info right on Google keeps it right here.

Show your business info on your profile

Syncing pulls the data in. To put your details, hours, and contact info on your public page, add a Business Info section in the Designer.

  1. Open your profile in the Designer.
  2. Select Add section.
  3. Under Automatic, select Business Info. It's added right away.
  4. Select Publish profile so visitors can see it.

The section fills itself from the data you synced, so there's nothing to type into it.

Want to show your Google reviews too? That uses its own section. For the steps, see show your Google reviews.

Does connecting Google put me on Google Maps?

No, and this trips a lot of people up, so here's the straight answer. Connecting your Google Business Profile here pulls your Google info into NoTrouble. It does not list your business on Google Maps or in Google Search.

Your spot on Google Maps comes from your Google Business Profile itself, which you set up and verify with Google directly. The map you see on your NoTrouble profile is a picture of your address, not a live Google Maps listing. So:

  • Want to show up when people search Google? That's done on Google's side, by creating and verifying your Google Business Profile. An unverified listing can stay hidden on Maps and in Search no matter how complete it looks.
  • Want your Google info to appear on your NoTrouble page? That's what this connection does.

To help your NoTrouble profile itself turn up in search results, see help your profile show up on Google.

The Google Business tab is empty or has no connect button

The tab shows nothing until the feature is live for your account. This is a gradual rollout, so a blank tab usually means it hasn't reached you yet.

  • On a free plan? My Business and outside connections are Pro features. Upgrade to Pro, then check the tab.
  • On Pro and still empty? The Google Business Profile connection is rolling out in stages and isn't on for your account yet. This is expected, so check back later.
  • See a connect button with a Pro badge you can't use? Your plan doesn't include connecting outside accounts yet. Upgrading to Pro turns it on.

My Google account is connected but I can't pick a location

You'll see Your Google account is connected, but the Business Profile permission is not enabled, with a warning. This means you signed in to Google but didn't grant the business permission.

To fix it, select Reconnect with Business Profile access. On Google's permission screen, make sure the Google Business Profile access stays turned on before you continue. That permission is what lets us read your listing.

I linked it, but my hours and reviews didn't change

Give it a few minutes, then check these:

  • Reviews refresh about every 15 minutes; business info about every hour. A brand-new link starts a sync right away, but the rest happens on that schedule, so a fresh review can take a little while to appear.
  • Make sure you picked the right location. If you linked the wrong spot, select Edit connection on the Google Business tab, choose the correct Account and Location, and select Save.
  • Check that your Google listing actually has the info. We can only sync what's on Google. If your hours are blank on Google, they'll be blank here too.

My hours and reviews stopped updating

If everything synced fine for a while and then went quiet, your Google connection probably needs attention. A connection can expire on its own, or get revoked if you changed your Google password or removed our access on Google's side. While it's in that state, syncing pauses, so your hours and reviews sit on whatever was last pulled in.

You'll spot this on the Google Business tab. The connected card shows a warning right under your account:

  • Your Google token has expired. Reconnect to resume syncing.
  • Access to Google was revoked. Reconnect to restore access.

The fix is to renew the Google sign-in itself. The Google Business tab can't do that while it's linked, so you do it from the Connections page under Tools, where every account you've linked lives.

  1. Open the Connections page.
  2. Find the Google card. The same warning shows there, with a Reconnect button.
  3. Select Reconnect and sign back in to the Google account that owns your listing.
  4. On Google's permission screen, keep the Google Business Profile access turned on.

Your location link stays in place, so there's nothing to re-pick. Once the sign-in is fresh, syncing picks up where it left off, and the warning on the Google Business tab clears on its own.

I got an email about a change on my Google listing

After a sync runs, we email the profile owner when something on the synced listing changes. The subject reads A change on your Google Business listing. It's a heads-up that the latest pull from Google updated your details.

The email tells you we spotted a change on your listing for that profile. It doesn't name the exact field that moved. It has a Review the changes button that opens My Business so you can have a look. There's nothing to approve or undo. Only business info changes trigger this email; new reviews don't. Remember, Google is the source for these details (see the note above), so when your listing changes on Google, the synced value here changes to match. If a value looks wrong, fix it on Google and the next sync brings the correct one back.

Change which location is linked

Switched the business this profile points to? You can repoint it.

  1. Go to My Business, open Business Settings, then the Google Business tab.
  2. Select Edit connection.
  3. Pick the new Account and Location.
  4. Select Save.

Disconnect Google Business Profile

You can unlink any time. On the Google Business tab, select Disconnect. You'll be asked to confirm: Disconnect Google Business Profile? Reviews and business info will stop syncing. Existing data will be kept.

Once you confirm, syncing stops, but the hours, reviews, and details already pulled in stay on your profile. You can edit them by hand or reconnect later.
