Add your business hours, address, and contact details

Updated June 9, 2026

Your business details (hours, address, phone, and website) live in one place: My Business. Type them in once, and they show up on your public profile with a map, a Directions button, and a Call button. You type the details; we handle the rest. No Google account needed.

Before you start

You need permission to edit the profile you're working on. If you own the profile or manage it, you're set. My Business is on every plan, so there's nothing to buy. Connecting Google is an optional extra (more on that below), but you can fill in everything by hand without it.

Set up My Business

This is the home base for your hours, address, and contact info.

  1. In the main menu, select My Business. The icon is a location pin.
  2. If you haven't added anything yet, you'll see No business profile yet. Select Set Up Business.
  3. You land on the Profile tab, where every field lives. Fill in the ones you want (steps for each are below).
  4. Select Save at the bottom.

After you save, My Business shows a card with everything you entered. You can come back and change it any time.

Where do I put my business contact info?

All of it sits on one screen. Go to My Business, then select Edit Business (or Set Up Business the first time). You'll be on the Profile tab, which has these fields, top to bottom:

  • Business Name: the only required field. This also sets your profile's name.
  • Phone: your main phone number.
  • Website: your website link.
  • Business email: a public email for customers. This is separate from the email you sign in with, so you can share it freely.
  • Address: your street address, city, state, postal code, and country.
  • Location Map: a map of your spot, placed from the address you typed.
  • Business hours: your open and close times for each day.

Fill in what you want and leave the rest blank. Select Save when you're done.

Add your address and phone number

Your address and phone go right on the Profile tab.

  1. Go to My Business, then select Edit Business.
  2. In the Phone field, type your main number.
  3. In the Address fields, fill in Street address line 1, City, State / Province, Postal / Zip code, and pick your Country. Add Street address line 2 if you need it (a suite or unit).
  4. Add your Website too, if you have one.
  5. Select Save.

Your phone, address, and website now show on your public profile, along with a Call button and a Directions button so customers can reach you in one tap.

Add your business hours (opening hours)

You set open and close times for each day by hand. No Google account, no import. You type them in.

  1. Go to My Business, then select Edit Business.
  2. Scroll to Business hours. Each day has a switch and starts Closed.
  3. Turn on the switch for a day you're open. Two time boxes appear, preset to 09:00 and 17:00.
  4. Change the open time and close time to match your real hours.
  5. Open on a split schedule (say, you close for lunch)? Select Add hours under that day to add a second time range, like 9:00–12:00 and 1:00–5:00.
  6. Leave a day's switch off to mark it Closed.
  7. Repeat for each day, then select Save.

On your public profile, your hours show in a friendly format, like 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and any day you left off shows as Closed.

Show my location on my profile

The map finds your spot from the address you typed. You don't search for it separately.

  1. Add your Address first (see above). The map needs it to place the pin.
  2. Scroll to Location Map. When it loads, it drops a pin on your address on its own.
  3. Want to fine-tune the look? Adjust the Style, Zoom, Pitch, and Bearing. These change how the map looks, not where the pin sits.
  4. Select Save.

Your map and a Directions button now show on your public profile, so customers can get driving directions straight to you.

My map is empty or the pin is in the wrong place

The map builds the pin from your address, so an empty or off map almost always means the address is missing or has a typo.

  • Map is blank? You probably haven't filled in the address yet. Add your Street address line 1, City, and Country, then save. The map places the pin from those.
  • Pin is off? Check the address for a typo. A wrong street number or postal code sends the pin to the wrong block. Fix the address and save again.
  • Still off? Some new or rural addresses aren't mapped precisely yet. Add the postal code and state to help the map land closer.

I saved, but nothing shows on my public profile

Give it a moment, then check two things.

  • Did the save go through? After you select Save, you should be taken back to the My Business card with your details on it. If you don't see them there, the save didn't finish, so try again.
  • Looking at the right page? Your details show on your live profile, not only inside My Business. Open your profile from your profiles list (or use its preview) to see the hours, map, and contact buttons as visitors see them.

My business name changed when I saved

That's expected. Your Business Name and your profile's name are the same thing, so saving one updates the other. If you want a different public name, change Business Name in My Business and it updates both. There's no way to keep them different.

Do I need a Google account to add my hours and address?

No. Everything on the Profile tab (name, phone, website, address, map, and hours) is yours to type in by hand, on every plan. Google is never required.

Connecting Google Business Profile is an optional extra on the Google Business tab. It can pull your hours, address, reviews, and photos in from your Google listing so you don't type them twice. That connection is a Pro feature, and it carries a Pro badge. If you don't connect Google, nothing breaks. Your hand-typed details work exactly the same.

Set up holiday and special hours

Your weekly hours stay the same week to week. For one-off days, like a holiday, a long weekend, or hours that differ for a single date, use Holiday closures in My Business. Set the date, then mark it closed or give it special hours, and your profile shows the change for that day only.
